Frequently asked questions

Do you take insurance?

TC Wellness Center does not affiliate with insurance because we want to make sure you and your family get the care you DESERVE. We strive to provide the best quality care while keeping it affordable- especially for families!

We are a cash-based, wellness practice serving whole families. Not billing insurance allows for us to create the best and most affordable care plans for our practice members and at the same time use our neurologically-focused care to get you the results you seek. TC Wellness provides many different payment plans, both for individuals and families, to help meet everyone's needs. These plans are often times less than what you would pay with an insurance co-pay. We do, however, take HSA/FSA as a form of payment!

We will provide our care recommendations and ultimately allow each practice member to choose what is best for themselves and their families. At TC Wellness, we work for YOU, not a premium!

What is the webster technique?

The Webster technique is adjusting method that focuses on alignment of the pelvis, sacrum and supporting ligaments + muscles in pregnancy. When these are aligned, there is proper room for baby to grow. The Webster technique provides gentle adjustments in a safe and effective way to help relieve pains, enhance quality of sleep, and guide the baby towards going head-down for an optimal position for delivery. Chiropractic does not turn/flip babies, but rather it addresses and corrects in utero constraint and neurological dysfunction, which allows baby more room to enjoy their living space. This technique may also help decrease the need for unnecessary medical intervention in the birthing process. In addition to the classic Webster Technique, Dr. Steph analyzes the Nervous System of mom, which is highly important in hormonal health, sleep, comfort, progression of labor/delivery, energy levels, and so much more! Mom and baby not only share a connection for nutrition and blood supply, but also a neurological connection as baby is developing their major neurological organs in utero. Preconception, prenatal period, and postpartum care are absolutely vital for healthy moms who create healthy babies! If you are a mother seeking help with your pregnancy, we encourage you not to wait, but to reach out early on to help stabilize and prepare your body for this transition into motherhood.

WHY SHOULD I SEE A CHIROPRACTOR DURING PREGNANCY?

Research consistently boasts the many benefits of receiving chiropractic care during pregnancy. Among the many benefits are: less complications during labor, reduced need for interventions, less pain and discomfort, improved balance of pelvis and sacrum leading to more comfortable pregnancy and delivery, reduced nausea, optimal hormonal and reproductive organ function, improved healing and recovery postpartum. This is why many moms also seek our care to optimize fertility and prepare for pregnancy- a practice that has been long forgotten, but crucial for optimal health of mom and baby. Pregnant moms and young women need COMMUNITY to thrive and that’s exactly what we provide alongside our care.

How long do adjustments take?

Adjustments are variable depending on the individual case. Most adjustments take no longer than 5 minutes per person and can conveniently fit into an extremely busy schedule. Neurologically-focused chiropractic allows us to go into each adjustment with prior knowledge of your nervous system + your specific patterns which allows us to make our analysis with even more speed. While adjustments do not take long, your Nervous System is doing all of the work between visits to recalibrate and heal. So less time spent in the office does not mean you are getting less care, but adjustments are like flipping on the light switch in your house or changing the oil in your engine. Each office visit is to ensure your nervous system is clear and connected so healing and correct function can happen! After the adjustment is made, your nervous system is doing all of the work to correct itself and heal. The adjustment itself lasts longer than the time spent in the office.

How much will it cost?

It depends on each individual case and the complexity of the neurological dysfunction. Some cases will need months of care while others will heal at a faster rate. The nervous system cannot be rushed. Ultimately, we provide care plan recommendations with multiple payment options to help care be more affordable for your family. If there is more than one family member seeking care, we offer family discounts. We are here to get you the help you need and we worked hard to ensure care is affordable for every family, but that the highest level of care is always provided. We value full transparency so financials will be discussed at full disclosure before care begins. If you have further questions, please reach out via phone and our care team would be happy to answer more questions as well as provide an estimate for cases similar to yours.

How is this type of care different from other forms of chiropractic?

Just like in other professions, there are different techniques within chiropractic. Not all chiropractors focus on the nervous system and adjust based upon the nervous system. Some utilize more of a structural or biomechanical approach to care meaning addressing from a perspective of where the spine is positioned. Our care is fully based upon what’s called tonal and neurological principles- meaning we analyze, adjust, and measure the nervous system. All aspects of our care uses this approach and we find many complex neurological challenges or cases that have not seen resolution through various other approaches find that our approach to care is unique and beneficial to them. We also approach care from a personalized clinical framework rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. Our care adapts to the patient at each and every visit meaning that no two adjustments will be the same and each visit is extremely specific. When you give the nervous system specific and clear instructions, it allows the brain and central nervous system to do its job of correcting the issue with less confusion. So if you have tried chiropractic in the past and did not have results, we encourage you to try Nervous System focused care or give us a call today 651-252-1912- we’d be happy to let you know if we can help!
